An anxious blogger...

I'm feeling a little lost here, not knowing where to go with the whole blogging thing. Seems I take the attitude towards blogging that I do to design and everything else I do. It's frought with worry and doubt. And the wish to be original. Which is truely a pointless thing to try and achieve, originality. I guess a lot of original things can come out of "copying" something you like as you put your own spin on it. At least that's what I've read... Thoughts please...

Is "frought" a word?

So in my frantic way of trying to find something to blog, that will be of interest, I look back to the ol' internet bookmark archive and found these which I forgot how much I loved by ANTIGIRL. Anywhoo, advice on blogging, as you can see would me most welcome. I'm guessing you can tell I'm one of those people who like inspirational quotes...can I feel a blog coming on? I'm predictable so yes, that may well be my next blog. Hopefully I can find something other than just those "Keep calm and carry on" posters.

Anyway, some pretty pics...

Fraught: marked by distress. Distress over the desire to be original? That's probably a cycle that would be difficult to break out of. I find that when I'm trying too hard to create something original, I just make a mess out of everything. What works best for me is to just sit with something for a while (or longer), and wait for the inspiration to wash over me. That's when the magic happens.

That's my 2 cents

Thanks chq, that's what I find hard, the waiting! But it's usually worth it, at least for the relief! Love your quilts by the way. Are you friends with or related to Lizzy House? I love her patterns!
